A key mindset shift is needed. Instead of going about your new daily routine worrying that others will infect you, start approaching this as if you might infect them. One of the devastating features of this virus is that people who are infected can spread it to others, even without having symptoms of their own. This means that any of us could be spreading the virus to others unknowingly. But if we act as if we have it, and change our behaviors accordingly, that can go a long way in helping protect others.

Doing this will require a great deal of social trust, but we have already demonstrated our capacity for this. Washing your hands is social trust. Covering your cough is social trust. Staying 6 feet from others is social trust. Wearing a mask is social trust. Staying home when sick is social trust.
